Biography
Dhana is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team at Suryomurcito & Co, a Rouse network firm handling all activities reserved for Indonesian lawyers.
Before joining the firm, he spent seven years as in-house counsel at one of Indonesia’s leading technology companies. Having spent years on the other side of the table gave him a good understanding of how businesses operate and what they need from their lawyers. He approaches legal issues with both the law and the practical realities of the business in mind.
Dhana is a litigator who believes in getting the fundamentals right. He prefers strong arguments and good preparation over cheap tricks and gimmicks. He also has substantial experience in negotiation and enforcement. If a matter calls for a firm letter, a difficult conversation, or dealing with the authorities, he is generally happy to take it on.
He is not particularly afraid of odd jobs either. During his time at the firm, Dhana has taken on a range of commercial and regulatory matters outside the usual dispute-resolution fare, including import requirements, Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certification, franchise arrangements, music licensing, and many more.
His background in technology and interest in data analysis are particularly useful in matters involving technology, digital platforms, and large volumes of information.
