Biography
Camille is the Enforcement & Patent Manager at Baranda & Associates, a Rouse network firm.
She is a Filipina lawyer and a UK part-qualified patent and trademark attorney specializing in patent prosecution, IP litigation, and IP commercialization. Her practice covers the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, the handling of patent infringement, invalidation, and unfair competition cases before the Bureau of Legal Affairs of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, and the litigation of cases before the Special Commercial Courts. She also prepares and reviews technology transfer agreements, service agreements, and other commercial contracts.
Before joining Baranda & Associates, Camille supported biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients in contentious proceedings, including matters successfully resolved in favor of her clients before the Court of Appeals and the Philippine Supreme Court. Alongside her commercial practice, she has substantial public interest and policy experience through her work with the Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG), the oldest organization of human rights lawyers in the Philippines, and as a former consultant to various government agencies and international non-governmental organizations.
Camille holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines. She also earned a Master of Science in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University of London as a UK Chevening Scholar. In addition, she has undertaken specialist training with the Fédération Internationale des Conseils en Propriété Industrielle (FICPI), the Japan Patent Office, and the World Intellectual Property Organization–Harvard Law School PatentX program.
