Biography
Anastasia is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution team at Suryomurcito & Co, a Rouse network firm handling all activities reserved for Indonesian lawyers.
With close to seven years of experience handling complex intellectual property enforcement and commercial dispute matters in Indonesia. Her practice focuses on trademark and copyright enforcement, software compliance matters, anti-counterfeiting actions, domain name disputes, trademark litigation, warning letter projects, including negotiation to secure compliance and amicable settlements.
Anastasia has extensive experience advising local and international clients on strategic IP protection and enforcement matters, including coordinating multi-party enforcement projects and handling disputes involving both online and offline infringement activities. She also has experience in commercial intellectual property matters, including licensing and technology-related matters, as well as patent litigation.
Prior to joining Rouse Indonesia, Anastasia held a Head of Legal role at two oil palm companies in Pekanbaru, Sumatera, where she handled a broad range of commercial and operational legal matters relating to plantation and mill operations. This in-house experience provided her with strong commercial exposure and practical insight into business operations, contract management, regulatory compliance, and dispute handling from a corporate perspective.
She has had a strong interest in intellectual property law, particularly copyright law, since pursuing her Master’s degree in the United Kingdom in 2014–2015. Her dissertation focused on the legal analysis of inequality of bargaining power in copyright contracts.
