Published on 27 Apr 2026 | 1 minute read

Earlier this month, as part of activities to mark World IP Day, Flora Fang was invited to speak at a seminar held during the 2026 Wenzhou Bay New Area and Longwan District World IP Week. The event was organised by the Wenzhou Longwan District Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Office) and hosted by the Wenzhou Intellectual Property Great Bay, focusing on intellectual property for local companies expanding globally.

During the keynote session, Flora discussed IP protection in Southeast Asia, including bad-faith trade mark filings, challenges for Chinese companies, overseas trade mark strategies, trade mark laws and dispute resolution mechanisms, as well as IP enforcement in the Southeast Asia region.

The event also included an appointment ceremony, during which Flora was appointed as an IP technical expert. The certificate was jointly issued by the Wenzhou Longwan District People's Court, the Wenzhou Longwan District People's Procuratorate, the Longwan Branch of the Wenzhou Public Security Bureau, and the Wenzhou Longwan District Administration for Market Regulation.
