Biography
Pongtape is a Litigator based in the Bangkok office.
Pongtape joined Rouse in July 2019 as a litigator. He is currently in our Dispute Resolution Team, representing clients in contentious disputes and IP enforcement and litigation matters in Thailand.
Previously, he worked on all phases of litigation, both criminal and commercial disputes. He also obtained diversified experience and intensively wirks as a litigator at other international law firm and local law firm based in Thailand. Pongtape has over 10 years of experience representing businesses in a great variety of legal disputes, with an emphasis on intellectual property, insurance, international trade and commercial matters.
He works on pre-litigation and litigation cases involving commercial, criminal, information technology, international trade and intetectual property disputes. He has represented car manufacturers in civil and criminal lawsuits for distributionship agreements and floorplan agreements, unsafe product and product defect disputes.
He also represented a leading Chinese technology company in infringement of online game in Thailand. He successfully defended a leading moile phone company and aleading digital maps provider in ciivl and criminal lawsuits for copyright infringement of digital maps in Thailand. He also represented a leadin Japanese trader in international trade disputes related to defects found in fiber optic cables. He has fruitfully assisted a multitude of clients in negotiating settlements and resolving other legal matters
