Biography
Anna specializes in the technical fields of the automotive industry, absorbent materials, and products, paper technology, measurement technology, snuff products, packaging, and packaging technology. Anna works with opposition and appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office including oral proceedings, from which she has wide experience. She also works with the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, patentability evaluations, freedom-to-operate analyses, and infringement opinions. Anna is qualified as a European Patent Attorney. She was also one of the first to pass the exam to become an Authorized Patent Attorney in Sweden.
Prior to joining Valea in 2007, she worked for 10 years with R&D and product development within SCA Hygiene Products (now called Essity). For the last two years at SCA, she was chairman of the Patent Portfolio Group and thus understands well the importance of IP work within product development, both on a daily and strategic basis.
During 2023/2024 she successfully completed the CEIPI course on Patent Litigation in Europe and received a European Patent Litigation Certificate giving her the right to represent clients in the Unified Patent Court.
